“Hallissy’s Restaurante Campo de Golf” is located on the island’s only golf course amid the beautiful gardens and pine clad hills. Hallissy’s is one of Menorca’s newest restaurants and is fast becoming a favourite with local residents and tourists alike. Hallissy’s has just relocated to the golf course bringing their friendly family service and first class cuisine with them.

The resident proprietors Aideen and Peter, who are Irish and English respectively, run a warm and friendly bar restaurant. Aideen and Peter have served some of the world’s leading golfers including Tiger Woods, Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington while Peter was head chef at Ireland’s world famous Mount Juliet.

The centrepiece of the restaurant is an old Menorcan farmhouse which was extended in 2003 to include a new restaurant and lounge that offer panoramic views. Hallissy’s use the best of local produce and is an unique blend of Mediterranean and Irish cuisine. The bar offers a wide choice from sumptious sandwiches, refreshing Caesar salads with Pete’s secret dressing to traditional favourites such as steaks and local seafood. In the restaurant guests can choose from a wide ranging ala carte menu and an extensive children’s menu. Guests rave about “Pete’s homemade soda bread”, mushrooms on ciabatta, garlic tiger prawns, fillet steak and the fresh catch of the day. This is the place to be on Friday night for traditional fish, chips and mushy peas which attracts large numbers of visitors from all over the island. The restaurant has the capacity to host large groups and functions in its spacious air-condititoned dining room. The restaurant is closed in the winter and on Monday during the main season.

The Bar is opened all year, at the moment from 9.00 am to 19.00 hrs, Monday no food served. From March 2009 Tuesday to Sunday Bar food and tapas available from 10.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs.
