CLUB SON PARC´S EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING ON THE 1ST OF MARCH.

On the 1st March 2008 we will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting which will take place in the Club’s Bar – Restaurant Hallisy’s” at 11.30 hours being the first summons and 12.00 hours the second summons.

MENORCAN GOLF LEAGUE 2008

COMPETITION CHARACTERISTICS:
Official tournaments, with the chance to raise or lower your handicap.
There will be one tournament to be played every month, except in August; from which 5 will be Medal and 4 Stableford. All players will have to compete in minimum 5 of them, 3 Medal and 2 Stableford, if he wants to classify.

WINNERS:
To be able to obtain the winner, only 7 out of all the best results will count. The player who plays les than 9 (7 to 5) the total of his results will be counted.
The final winners will be the first 5 classified of each category.
(If during the League a player raises of lowers his handicap, he will drag the point to the new category).
In case of a draw the point will be shared between players.
If there is a draw with the final winners, they will have to play a sudden death. (This will have to be played on the same day).

CATEGORIES:
- 1ª Category (men): 0 a 14, 4 Hcp.
- 2ª Category (men): 14, 5 a 26, 4 (max Hcp permitted).
- Seniors

- 1er Place Scratch Men.
- 1er Place Scratch Senior

POINTS:
- 1st classified: 18 points.
- 2nd classified: 16 points.
- 3rd classified: 14 points.
- 4th classified: 12 points.
- 5th classified: 10 points.
- 6th classified: 8 points.
- 7th classified: 6 points.
- 8th classified: 4 points.
- 9th classified: 2 points.
-10th classified: 1 point.

CALENDAR 2008:
- 1st round: Sunday 9th of March 2008 (Medal).
- 2nd round: Sunday 12th of April 2008 (Stableford).
- 3rd round: Sunday 25h of May 2008 (Medal).
- 4th round: Saturday 14th of June 2008 (Stableford).
- 5th round: Saturday 19th of July 2008 (Medal).
- 6th round: Saturday 31st of August 2008 (Stableford).
- 7th round: Saturday 25th of October 2008 (Medal).
- 8th round: Saturday 29th of November 2008 (Stableford)
- 9th round: Saturday 6th December 2008 (Medal).

PRIZEGIVING:
The prizegiving will take place on the 13th of December 2008, ( the same day as the Christmas Trophy), with a lunch at the Restaurant Hallissy´s.
Prizegiving and time still to be confirmed.

PRIZES:
As we do not have a sponsor for these competitions the prizes will be obtained depending on the amount of money received from the inscriptions.
Miguel Quetglas Villatoro, has agreed to be responsible for the purchase of these prizes.

TEE´S:
- Men off whites.
- Ladies off blue.
- Seniors Men off yellow. Senior Ladies off Red

*Any children who want to play in the Menorquin League will have to tee off from the same tees as the adults.
* If the number of players is 72 or less the tee off times will be shotgun. If the number of players is higher it would be every 10 min from the first tee.
* All the players involved in the competition committee and all the players’ compromise in helping during the event, will tee of the last on the non shot gun independently of their handicap

INSCRIPTION PRIZE:
15€ per person each round. 10€ will be for the prizes and 5€ for the club’s expenses.
The Menorquin League is only for members of the club of Golf Son Parc Menorca. If a visitor wants to play he will have to pay the annual fee for the club (30€) and the visitors G.fee. (Buggies are permitted for all players).

COMPETITION COMMITE:
Miguel Quetglas Vilatoro, Carlos Iñigo, Juan Enric Ventura with Gustavo Flammia´s supervision, compromise to be in all the 9 rounds for any question or problem with the rules.
Miguel Quetglas Vilatoro compromises to look for 18 players to help the club on the control of the course. Such players can contact him to decide with of the round to help in.

MATCH PLAY SEASON 2007-2008

Individual MATCH PLAY rules competition.
(SEASON 2007-2008)

PLAYERS: Members only

FORMAT: Individual

CATEGORIES: HCP & SCRATCH

LENGTH: 31st October 2007- 30th April 2008

INSCRIPTION FEE: 15€ (The inscription list will closed on the 27th of October 2007).

CAT. HANDICAP: Maximum playing hcp 26,4.

CAT. SCRATCH: All handicaps.


CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:

1. It will be played with EGA handicap, with the establish limitation (depending on the course slope), at actual time of the game. If the handicap of the player with the slope was higher than 26.4, his handicap will keep to 26.4. It will be applied a ¾ reduction of the handicap.

2. At the beginning of each match and following what establish, both players will settle their handicaps of play and their strokes. This difference will be applied from the hole handicap num one of the course.

3. Each game will be played before the limit period for each round. These limits are: first round till 31/12/07, second round till 25/02/08, third round till 23/03/08, and fourth round till 30/04/08. The non-fulfilment of the period establish, will be cause of disqualification.

4. All players from both categories will tee of from white marks.

5. If the 18 holes are concluded with a tie, the winner will be decided with a play off. The play offs will start on the first hole (Hcp category with the strokes were belong); if the tie would persist they will play the following holes till a winner is proclaimed.

6. Rules of play: The competition will be played following the rules of the R.F.E.G and the local rules.


7. The classification for the General Numerical Draw, of the two categories will be chosen with the results of 7th MENORCAN LEAGUE Competition that takes place on the 27th October2007. Last year’s winners will be classified automatically. The Draw will be formed with a minimum of 16 in Scratch and a minimum of 16 or maximum of 32 players in Handicap category, following page 141 App I of the book Rules of Golf.

8. All players will be able to play both categories.

9. If two players agree a date and time, and one of them does not turn up or give a two day notice to the other player or to the Committee, the player that turns up wins the match.

10. The final will be played over 36 holes on the same day.

11. If bad weather would make not possible to play the match and before the limit period, both players will be able to agree to stop the match and decided a date to renew from the place were they decided to stop and with the same result as they had.


DECISIONS:
If any problems could appear between the players and referring to the match itself, they will be resolved by the Committee, and the decision will not be argued.

PRIZES: First and second place in both categories.

NEW DELEGATE IN MENORCA

On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th May a professional referee from the Balearic Federation, Vicente Mulet, will come over to our club to talk to the members and about the rules of golf. Any member of the Club is welcome to participate in this event which will be held in the Club House.
